I was so excited for this session because this mom let me know that they hadn’t done family photos since their girls were little kids! We emailed for weeks about prep and the best outfits for the location. All of it was worth it because we got this incredibly beautiful session in return! AND mom finally got family photos!
We were blessed with some gorgeous warm light that really just completed this family session. I love that this family used light tones and pastel colors for their outfits. It really helps to achieve that light and airy look.
It is absolutely possible to get candid, natural, lifestyle family pictures with older kids! As long as everyone is willing to let go and enjoy themselves a bit.. It ends up being really fun and we get genuine laughs!
