Like a typical 3rd/last baby, he got an entire photoshoot of him smashing a cake! Ugh I can’t believe my sweet baby is already a year old!! I don’t even understand how time goes by so quickly.
This was NOT your perfect, ideal cake smash photoshoot, although the photos may prove otherwise haha. We had a whole bunch of tears from Leo and me trying to get this all setup and going! He was so nervous about the hat and the cake and absolutely would not sit still no matter how much I begged and distracted. My husband had to come calm us both down and bring the fun to get things going!
Once he got a good taste of that cake though, it was game over. And that’s how we discovered that Leo is a BIG fan of cake! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a baby actually EAT the cake.. and a lot of it!
But let this be an example that you can make a simple DIY setup in your own home and make a photoshoot happen! This was all setup in my own living room, just a basic white sheet facing the window, some props from amazon, a perfect little rocking horse that I happened to thrift with the name Leo already on it, and a delicious cake made by one of my son’s friend’s mom!
